Peninsula Papagayo is located in Costa Rica's province of Guanacaste at the north Pacific Coast of the country. Originally created by volcanic activity and formed by weather the Peninsula is now protruding into the gulf of Papagayo. Unique in Central America are its wonderful views, the virgin tropic dry forest and untouched beaches. 16 miles of coast line include 31 different beaches and the northern Peninsula of Santa Elena offers protection from the most intense storms. Peninsula Papagayo includes as its top destinations the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, an Andaz Hotel built in 2013 and an Arnold Palmer golf course. Additionally, you will find a small number of villas and holiday homes with a very high standard. It is required by law that 70% of the surface of the Peninsula must remain untouched whereby it is guaranteed that its beauty will not be destroyed by excessive use of land.
